The harmless disposal of urban solid waste is becoming increasingly urgent. At present, more than 70% of waste disposal in many developed coastal areas, including Guangdong, does not meet the harmless treatment standard, and there are many deficiencies in traditional landfill, composting and open-air incineration treatment. how to make garbage disposal harmless, resource utilization and reduction has become a problem that the relevant functional departments of the government need to focus on. 

At present, most municipal solid waste treatment methods still use the traditional landfill and a few cities adopt very immature biochemical composting treatment. There are many deficiencies in these municipal solid waste disposal methods, and they have also faced many difficulties. For example, the limitation of landfill site selection is that with a suitable site, it is easy to cause secondary pollution of groundwater resources and environmental pollution around the site, landfill produces biogas and causes very serious pollution to the atmosphere, and so on.
